This site is for fans and collectors of Playmobil toys.
I became interested in Playmobil a few years ago; after my children had begun to grow out of it, I took over the family collection and extended it- a lot!
I am based in the UK; like many British parents and children, we recognise the quality of Playmobil toys, although it is not the market-leading toy brand here. Playmobil is a national institution in Germany, where the manufacturer, geobra Brandstatter GMBH is based.
There are many adult collectors of Playmobil around the world (especially in Germany and, apparently, Spain!), but it does not have the kind of following that some other toys enjoy (e.g. Lego). There are far fewer websites devoted to Playmobil than Lego, though many of the ones which do exist are excellent (see Links page). It was because I found some gaps in the information available online that I decided to set up this site.

Many of the ‘articles’ here have appeared on the Playmofriends forum in the past, but I have updated them and included suggestions and corrections from fellow members of that forum. Formatting of articles was done with a computer screen in mind, as opposed to a tablet computer or phone, so please excuse any ‘untidiness’ of layout when viewed on the latter.
